This thirty minute comic musical/play introduces children both to the instrumentation and textures of the string quartet as well as the compositional process. Watch as the mediocre genius, Schmutzinberry, creates his masterpiece to the sounds of a live string quartet. Don’t miss the cameo appearance by Ludwig Van Beethoven!

Wolgang Amadeus Schmutzinberry II: They Only Come Out in The Morning.
This 40-minute comedy introduces children to the instrumentation and textures of the Piano Quintet and Piano Quartet. The range of style in this show spans from the Romantic works of Brahms to the heavy classic rock of Edgar Winter.

The Amazing Tale of Prince Pickles Of Guitaristan. This forty-five minute musical follows Prince Pickles on his quest for the magical wandering Lutus and they key to becoming a master of the guitar. The audience will hear many great songs and of course great guitar playing of all styles (classical, rock, blues, etc.).

Tune In. This thirty-minute musical introduces kids to the joys of reading. Tune in as a self-help radio talk show host uses the magic of books to save the day for each on the air caller. With a colorful cast of characters (The lunch lady who can’t cook, The middle aged man who can’t tie his shoes, etc.), and limerick verse set to catchy music, this show is sure to inspire a life long love of reading.

Once Upon a Time Signature. This collection of original fairy tales uses classical masterpieces as a sound track. Presenting this show is an excellent way for young audiences to become familiar with the sophisticated works of Antonin Dvorak, Bela Bartok, Johannes Brahms, Felix Mendelssohn, and other great composers of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Twice Upon a Time Signature. This sequel to Once upon a Time Signature follows the hero, Pishkin The Storyteller, on his journey to discover the perfect music for his masterpiece.

Egbert The Scaredy Cat. This thirty-minute musical is perfect for Halloween. Egbert is the only grown up in the whole town that is still afraid of ghosts and monsters… After he is hypnotized he becomes fearless. Unfortunately, this is also when real monsters come to town. Egbert the scaredy cat becomes the only one brave enough to save the town! The show includes all original music.

 

The Little Boy Who Wouldn’t Sleep. This 30 minute interactive play introduces children to the basics of music. Magical creatures such as the Crescendogs and the Fortisimos guide the little boy through the magical (and musical) Dreamland.

Marsha The Martian. Marsha is the only 80 year old from another planet in the whole second grade. It can be pretty tough making new friends when you are so different… But Marsha’s love of great books soon impresses her classmates. This thirty minute musical original inspires children to read while also reinforcing the old saying “Never judge a book by its cover”.

Build, Build A Snowman. Join the hero of this holiday musical as he spends years tracking down the ingredients for this monumental snowman… It will surely be the best snowman ever! This forty-five minute musical original has a cast of both student and professional actors. It is perfect for an 8-week workshop.

The Magical Musical Mystery. Detective Mervin Schluppinghammer has a case to solve. All of the music from his hometown is missing. Watch as he solves the case of the missing notes by interviewing music historians and instrument builders. This forty-five minute musical original has a cast of both student and professional actors. The Twelve Days of Christmas. Sheldon Pumpernickel has a lot to learn about girls. He would like nothing more than to woo Melisabeth, the prettiest girl in school, to the Holiday Dance… The only problem is that her living room isn’t big enough to hold all of the drummer boys, cows, and turtledoves. This forty-five minute community musical requires a cast of at least 80 students and a band! It is excellent for a school holiday production. (The premiere of this show in Bronxville, NY was the subject of a CBS Teen Kid news documentary).
